audiograffiti

About

Audiograffiti is a groundbreaking platform for creating interactive sound installations in physical and virtual spaces. By blending spatial audio, sensor-driven dynamics, and algorithmic composition, it transforms environments into dynamic soundscapes that respond to the movement and presence of participants aka recipients.

Our designers craft these experiences by defining active zones—geometric areas that trigger sound objects when entered. These zones can modulate audio parameters via gradients, loop or retrigger sounds, or even spatialize mono/stereo content in real time. Recipients engage through a web-based player, which interprets their position, movement, and sensor data to render personalized auditory experiences.

From minimalist ambient loops to multi-layered sonic narratives, Audiograffiti empowers artists to compose not just sound, but behavior—where every step, pause, or turn becomes part of the performance.

Audiograffiti map

So far, we have only a few interactive soundscapes available, and they are all marked on our map. As our community grows and more sound enthusiasts join, we expect to see an increasing number of these unique audio installations. Each new contribution enriches the collection, turning the map into a living archive of immersive sonic experiences. We can’t wait to hear what creative sounds will appear next!

How to use it

To experience the soundscapes, simply open the map on your smartphone, and tap any sound object before hitting play. Allow the browser to access your geolocation—then as you move through the space, the audio will respond in real time, transforming your surroundings into an immersive sound environment. No app is needed; just bring your curiosity, headphones, and a sense of exploration!
